Tim Allwine is a Senior Software Engineer with O'Reilly Media's research group where he untangles all sorts of intricate problems. He grew up on boats in general and worked on tugboats in Chesapeake Bay, and he restored the mizzen top mast on San Francisco Maritime Museum's Balclutha, an 1886 square-rigger.
